                  We have a nametag waiting for you!!!

We are very excited to begin preparing for this event which has been held annually for more than 51 years.  This event is not only an important fund raiser but an opportunity for  us, as church family, to strengthen our ties by getting to know each another. What better way to do that then by working together on an important project such as this —because it does involve everyone J! This is also a great opportunity to involve the community and bring in those who may have never been through our doors before. Who knows, maybe the next time they will be joining us for worship!

How can you help?? We need servers, a host/hostess, a ticket seller, help in the kitchen, and lot’s of food donations. Please check your calendar and pick up a volunteer form (yellow) on the table in the parlor (or phone Phyllis Hill ) and let us know how you can help this year. We are Hoping to eliminate a lot of phone calls! Thank you for your participation, and we look forward to another successful year!!

This year, we are eliminating craft items, but maintaining the bake sale. Donations of baked items, candies, breads, garden items, etc. will be appreciated.

Praise the Lord for such a beautiful day and a giving congregation! Thank you so much for supporting this important event that funds the missions of the Dayton Presbyterian Women and Presbyterian Women USA.
I can't thank all of you enough for your participation in making this a successful event each year, whether you contribute prayer, time, food, money or your appetite (in many cases all of the above).

Just a reminder to pick up your food dishes from the church kitchen (check the cabinet underneath, you may find something you have been missing for awhile!) One of the church crock-pots has a (smaller) glass lid that doesn't belong to it (for quite some time!) If you have a dish or cooker at home that the lid doesn't seem to fit, that may be why).

May 7th -CWU May Friendship Day

The Church Women United  Celebration called  MAY FRIENDSHIP DAY is an annual event nationwide.  This year it is scheduled locally on Friday, May 7th at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1005 N. 21st St., Lafayette @ 9am.   Childcare is available and men are welcome, too.  The event begins with a $3.00 continental breakfast at 9:00 am.  Come share a good morning with friends!
